LICS 2006 Submission Instructions for Short Presentations

Instructions for Preparing Short Presentations

As in the previous LICS meetings, LICS 2006 will have a session of short (5-10 minutes) presentations. This session is intended for descriptions of work in progress, student projects, and relevant research being published elsewhere; other brief communications may be acceptable. Submissions for these presentations, in the form of short abstracts (2 pages long in IEEE 2-column style file), should be entered at the LICS 2006 submission site by 21st April 2006. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by 28th April 2006.

IMPORTANT:
In the following instructions, please ignore any instructions specifically concerning the preparation of the final proceedings version of a paper (e.g. submission of abstract to IEEE, submission of copyright form). Also, do not contact IEEE with questions regarding the preparation of extended abstracts.

Style files

The present page should contain all the files you should require for preparing your short abstract. The sources of all files are in the FTP archive ftp://pubftp.computer.org/Press/Outgoing/proceedings

Submission Site for Short Presentations

The URL for submitting short presentations is http://www.easychair.org/LICS2006/. This link will bring you to a page labelled Submission Page for LICS 2006.

There are two zones: (1) Registered User and (2) New User. The first time you use the system you will have to use the New User fields. Shortly after that a password will be emailed to you. You can use this password to access the system thereafter as a registered user.

On this page you can enter the title, authors, contact author information and abstract. The abstract has to be under 300 words. It can be typed in directly or pasted in with a browser. You can upload your paper (extended abstract) using the web page. Using this submission system you can manage your papers submitted to LICS 2006. You can submit new papers, resubmit previously submitted papers, or change information about authors.

Extended abstracts must be in postscript or pdf format.

The deadline for submitting titles and short abstracts is 21st April 2006 by midnight EST (= 5am on 22nd April, UST).
