The 42nd Annual Symposium on Logic in Computer Science (LICS 2027) will take place in Montreal, Canada, 21–24 June 2027.
LICS is the leading international forum on theoretical and practical topics in computer science related to logic, broadly construed, including software verification, automated reasoning, programming language foundations, concurrency, database theory, and many other areas at the frontier of logic and computation. Each year, LICS recognizes the best student paper with the Kleene Award, and honours the most influential papers from twenty years prior with its Test-of-Time Award.
We expect from 120 to 150 attendees at LICS 2027, predominantly from academia, with a smaller industrial contingent. Participation is highly international: LICS 2026 accepted 82 papers out of 293 paper submissions from 735 authors representing 39 countries.
Visibility and access to top talent. LICS attendees include many of the strongest graduate students and early-career researchers working on foundations of programming languages, software verification, quantum computation, and security. This makes it a natural venue for launching industrial-academic research collaborations or for research-oriented hiring.
Support tomorrow's research leaders. Your contribution goes further towards supporting junior researchers at a conference the size of LICS. Your support subsidizes registration costs for student researchers to attend and learn from leaders in the field, and makes it possible to offer research mentorship through talks and panels at the co-located Logic Mentoring Workshop.
LICS matters. Some of the most impactful foundational ideas in logic and computer science were introduced at LICS. For instance, separation logic (LICS 2002) underpins industrial software verification tools, while monadic programming (LICS 1989) is now a standard topic in undergraduate functional programming courses. Your sponsorship offsets the cost of open-access publication, making this research available to everyone, and supports the continued flourishing of the community behind it.
The LICS community is grateful for support at any level. If you are interested in sponsoring LICS 2027, or would like to discuss a form of support not listed below, please see the contact details below.
